Bohemian Bungalow is as close to a tree house as we get here at The Martyn House. There is a bit of a steep walk down to Bohemian Bungalow but once you get there and are sitting on the front porch overlooking the woods you will forget all about that walk. The tent is passion purple and cream striped with a slightly tinted roof in orange. The inside carries this theme of red, orange, purple, and blue throughout. Old world furniture further creates the ambiance of days gone by giving you that very bohemian feeling. Private bath includes an antique washstand for a sink and a compost toilet with a hot water shower! The bathroom walls have a delicate floral pattern with gold suns on the ceiling. The sleeping quarters boasts a bold stripe with traditional paisley block print on the ceiling. Fine linens, plush robes, comfy beds this tent can be made into twins beds or a king.
Hummingbird Haven is green and white striped and sits nestled in the woods overlooking a meadow. Many mornings as you sit on your covered veranda sipping your coffee, tea or hot chocolate you may see deer grazing. The inside of Hummingbird Haven is spacious and custom designed with traditional Indian block print ceiling in soft salmon, cream and green pin-striped. The tent has a private bath with an antique washstand sink from Eastern Europe, on demand hot shower and compost toilet. Fine linens, plush robes, comfy beds this tent can be made into twins beds or a king. . Sleeps 2.
Ridge Roost is a bold black and white striped luxury tent and is nestled at the end of the ridge in the woods. The interior boasts a red, orange and pink custom design. The private bath is black and white pinstriped and offers on demand hot showers. There is an antique washstand for a sink and compost toilet. Robes are provided for your comfort. The twin iron beds can convert to a king size bed as well with luxurious linens. The front porch overlooks the woods to the East where most mornings can be spent sipping a coffee watching the sunrise. Sleeps 2
Nightingale Nest is our celestial tent. The ceiling is magical with golden embroidered stars with mirrors. The interior colors are a robins egg blue and terracotta with a unique block print design. The private bathroom is blue and white pinstriped offering on-demand hot showers and a custom antique washstand for a sink along with a compost toilet making this tent a luxury in the woods. The outside covered porch has a table and chairs for afternoon board games. The twin beds date back to the 40’s and can be single or made into a king. There are plush down comforters, robes and fine linens. Sleeps 2
Reserve the entire Glamping Ridge to share with friends. This includes all four sleeping tents, which sleep up to 8 individuals or 4 couples and 18 acres of woods, meadows, trails and pond. We start by serving you a welcoming supper the first evening you arrive (after 3). Later that evening relax with friends around a bon fire listening to music.
The next morning starts with a hearty breakfast on the veranda. The days activities can be as adventurous or relaxing as you wish. There is a wide variety of adventures to experience here. These include mountain or road biking, hiking, fly fishing, kayaking, whitewater rafting,stand up paddling or canoeing. You are on your own for lunch.
We can also arrange for a variety of activities here at The Martyn House including massages, yoga session or photography classes. Let us design the perfect retreat for you! The cost of all these activities and adventures is extra.
That evening after your activities and you have relaxed and freshened up in your luxurious tent, we gather for a candlelight dinner. On the final day you will be treated to a hearty brunch.
The entire property may be reserved for $2500 plus tax and gratuity for the weekend (or any weekday - two night / three day stay) inclusive breakfast/dinner and lodging only.You may also want to stay longer so make sure to ask about our other retreat/adventure packages!
Since The Martyn House is an intimate event facility it is possible an event will be taking place down at the homestead while your Glamping, however your privacy on Glamping Ridge is assured!
